Joel Soriano aka “Kujo” was born in Hawaii and raised in San Diego. Growing up in these two unique and culturally diverse locations had a profound impact on Kujo’s love for food. From a young age, he was exposed to a wide variety of flavors and ingredients, and he quickly developed a passion for experimenting with different culinary traditions. As he grew older, he began to hone his skills in the kitchen and eventually decided to pursue a career in the restaurant industry. Today, Kujo is known for his innovative and delicious dishes that blend the flavors of Hawaii and the Philippines with his own unique twists.
For those unfamiliar, halo-halo is a refreshing and colorful Filipino dessert that literally means “mix-mix.” It’s made with a blend of shaved ice, evaporated milk, and a variety of sweet toppings, including beans, fruit, and ice cream.
Our halo-halo has been hailed as the best in town, and once you take a sip, you’ll understand why. The combination of flavors and textures is truly one-of-a-kind and will transport you straight to the streets of the Philippines.
